Some books just make life feel better.  We first read Sue Watson’s Love, Lies and Lemon Cake on a dreary November day and within the first few pages we were already chuckling away.  Sue is already an Amazon bestseller with Fat Girls and Fairy Cakes and we’re delighted to announce that she has signed a three book deal with Bookouture.

There isn’t too long to wait before you can be chuckling along with us, either.  Love, Lies and Lemon Cake will be released this summer!  We’re also hoping to publish Sue’s second novel in the deal in time for Christmas 2014, with the third coming in Summer 2015.

Sue Watson was previously TV Producer with the BBC who combined motherhood and family life with a busy career. However, one day it dawned on Sue that Cosmo magazine may have been telling porkies about ‘having it all,’ and she realised her life had become a slightly crazed juggling act. So after much comfort eating, soul searching and reality TV watching, she sold her car, cancelled the holiday, bought a flamingo pink laptop and took the plunge as a writer.  We’re very glad that she did.

Sue commented on the deal:

“Bookouture is producing brilliant, high quality women’s fiction and I am so excited to be signing with them. I can’t wait to work with Oliver Rhodes and the team because they have flair, knowledge, expertise and a wonderful vision for my writing and my future as an author. They also happen to share my passion for cake.”

Please join us in welcoming a very exciting author to the team!
